Google is reported to have hired “Elizabeth Moody,” a well known music attorney to assist them with negotiations with music labels and other rights holders for their upcoming Google Music service.

“Moody was previously with Davis Shapiro Lewit & Hayes and specialized in digital music. Name partner Fred Davis, broadly known for representing nearly every digital music service over the last few years, recently started splitting his time to work with new investment bank CODE Advisors.”

The firm’s current and past clients include Spotify, MySpace Music, iMeem, MOG, iLike, Bebo and playlist, among others.
